hi Deeps Welcome to VoxSwap.com thanks for joining us. Plenty of people to chat to on the site in chat, the forums and by messaging direct. Hope you enjoy the site because as just a husband and wife team we rely on word of mouth advertising. In fact, if you check out the general forum, you will see we have a competition running at the moment where someone will winn an iPod Shuffle for recommending their friends to the site. Namaste, Deepali! Kya hal hai? I'm so glad that you sent me a message. I've been trying so hard to find someone. Dhanyavad! I can help you with English any time you'd like. I hope all is well with you!

Namaste Deepali. Mai bahut accha bhi hu, lekin bimar hu. Would you prefer that I use "tum" or "aap" with you? So far your English is really good. I'm currently only in section two of my Hindi book ("Mera parivar..."). Kya tumhara (apka?) parivar bara hai?
Dhanyavad aur phir melege!

You're welcome! I'll just dive in with the corrections:
-You "make" mistakes, not "do"
-Using 'rectify' here isn't incorrect, but it's pretty formal.
What would you like to discuss?

Namaste Deeps. I'm feeling better than I was before, but I have a bit of a nasty cough. In your sentence "Aab kaise lag raha hai, "raha" makes "feel" into "feeling" right? My book refuses to teach verbs until a later section, and it's absolutley killing me! Could you help me with some verbs? I see why that sentence from last time is awkward, by the way. Thanks for pointing it out! Mere parivar bada hai: meri ma, mera bap (dad?), aur meri step-ma (?). Mera 3 bara bhai-bahan hai, ek (half) bahan, ek (half) bhai, aur ek (step) bahan. It's very difficult for me to communicate where they are all, since I don't know how to say "they live" or anything using verbs. It's rather frustrating, actually.

Namaste Deepali.
Abhi, mai skul me hu. Mai bimar nahi hu, thik hu. Kya hal hai? Is that right-ish?
Everything is well here. I'm in class right now, bored out of my mind. I hope things are more exciting for you.

Hey Deeps,
I have a question for you. I'm working on just making up sentences to practice my vocabulary and grammar. If I were to say "That student teacher in Mrs. Finney's room is very cute, isn't he?" it'd be "Vo vidyartha adhyapak Finney-ji ki kamre me bahut pyaara hai, hai na?" Is that right?
27 Mar 2008
Yeah …. Its ok but – boy student (Vidyarthi), girl student (Vidyarthini)
In a better way…. it would “Vo vidyarthi, adhyapak Finneyji ke kamre me bahut pyaara hai, hai na?

Ah. Thanks, that does clear things up a bit. Could you please tell me what "Tum kab se Hindi sikh rahe ho?" means? I know that it has to do with "you (inf) learning Hindi" but I'm not sure how to place the kab se. Thanks.

Kab se means "since how long" tum kab se Hindi sikh rahe ho? means"Since how long you are learning Hindi?"
