Hey Lee, I went to Paris two years ago and I found that the Berlitz "Rush Hour French" program is really really helpful. Between that, a dictionary, and a French for Idiots (which is much better than the Dummies guide, haha), I was functional when I got there. I hope that's helpful.

Haha, I'm glad you're enjoying "Rush Hour French." It gets really easy to get Jaqueline and Msr. LeBlanc stuck in your head! Don't settle for Dummies, haha. The Idiots guide is written in a way that's much easier to understand, I think. I've always found that you need a good dose of grammar, not just phrases. I went to LoveMocha, but I didn't see anything pertaining to Hindi. Maybe I entered it incorrectly... -J
