Guten Tag

Just thought everyone should know that it was me trying to 'brush up' and practise my German that lead me to think of setting up VoxSwap. I found that all social networks are about making temporary links with people instead of making lasting friendships based on helping one another progress in each other's languages, and hence.. VoxSwap.

Hope you all enjoy it and are already finding interesting people to speak to in German and English

Hi Sean This site is a fantastic idea. Thank you. Would it be possible to have a category for 'complete beginners' as well as beginner as the Germans all seem to think they are beginners yet are writing in English that is better than the kids on the local council estate. :D For this reason I am loathe to put beginner down in my profile next to German because by their standards I'm no where near that good.

good point, it's something i'm going to bring up with the developers so thanks for raising it. 'absolute' or 'complete' beginner would be good because i've put 'beginner' down for my German but i'm not an absolutely beginnner, just very rusty, and there are students in their finals years putting down beginner too.... so i think it's a very good point and one for me to work on with the developers. thanks for raising it
