Heyhey! I am new here! There are not many chinese people here. Feel free to ask me for help if you have any questions about Chinese. Below I post some basic phrases or words in chinese. Hope you enjoy it!

 

Zaoshang hao = Good morning (zaoshang= monrning)
 
Xiawu hao= Good afternoon (Xiawu = afternoon)
 
Wanshang hao = Good evening (wanshang = evening/night)
 
Wan an= Good night
 
Nihao = hello
 
Xiexie = thank you
 
Nihao ma? = How are you
 
Zaijian = bye
 
Shi = Yes
 
Bushi = No
 
Wo hen hao, ni ne? = I am fine, and you?
 
Wo buhui jiang Zhongwen= I don't speak Chinese (Zhongwen=chinese)
 
Duibuqi = sorry
 
Ni hui jiang Yingyu ma? = Do you speak English (Yingyu = English)
 
Wo hui jiang yidianr Zhongwen = I speak little Chinese (Yidianr = a little)
 
Ni shi na de? = Where are you from?
 
Ni duo da? = How old are you?
 
Wo shi .... de = I am from ....

(China - Zhongguo

USA - Meiguo

UK - yingguo)
 
Wo shi ....ren = I am a ....

(Chinese - zhong guo ren

British - yingguoren

American - meiguoren) 
Xianzai jidian?= What time is it?
 
Ni de gongzuo shi shenme? = What do you do? (Gongzuo = job)
 
Ni= You
 
Wo= I
 
Wo men =We
 
Ta men = They
 
Ni men = You (plural)

hi! ARE YOU OK could mean different things in different situations...For example, when someone asks someone else who falls sick "ARE YOU OK", one would say ""NI MEISHI BA?"" in Chinese. And he would answer "MEISHI" if he is feeling OK..
